As per an exclusive report to AE Portal, it has been announced that the United Indian DotA League is now officially being moved to the one of the most popular DotA platforms out there – the Ranked Gaming Client.
While UIDL and it’s predecessor leagues the Indian DotA League and the Indian Professional DotA League have all been hosted on Garena in the past, this is the first time that an all-Indian league is being shifted a newer platform.
We caught up with UIDL’s Head Administrator Development Guru Prasad and he said that the idea for a shift has been under consideration for a very long time now and that the past couple of months have been about gathering up stuff to make the shift as smooth as possible.
“UIDL was thinking about a shift ever since the end of Season 1. But we wanted to make the transition as smooth as possible so we took our time. UIDL has now been officially set up on RGC and will continue all of the leagues activities on it henceforth” he said.
Now the main question that arose was that if DPL was also going to the new platform. Unfortunately we could not get the staff to talk about it.
“As for DPL, we will be completing the bidding procedure this week and going live with the finalized teams, rules and schedules soon after that. Other than that I cannot give you any more information at the moment” said Subodh Dumbre, Head Administrator Organizing, UIDL.
“We would like to thank RGC Staff and RG^Skyfire for helping us setting things up. They have been very co-operative. It’ll be great working with you guys” he added.
Well whatever maybe the fate of DPL, it will be great to see quality Indian DotA on Ranked Gaming which has been gaining immense popularity over the last year.
All vouched members of UIDL can now access the channel on the client by typing in “/j UIDL“. Players are not vouched yet as per the report but UIDL will take the necessary steps to complete up the shift within the coming week.
- All currently vouched members of the UIDL will be auto vouched on RGC.
- All UIDL Staff will retain their offices.
- League Rules and Regulations will be slightly adjusted to suit the new platform.
- UIDL is henceforth not related to Garena anyway. So beware of scammers who might try to trick you.
