The benchmark tests reports have come in and Apple’s new iPhone 4S is not only 73 percent faster than the it’s predecessor iPhone 4 but also is faster than every other smartphone out in the market currently.
The title was previously held by the Samsung Galaxy S2 which has now been beaten by the iPhone 4S which is comparatively nearly twice as fast. iPhone 4S’ new 800MHz A5 CPU even beats the performance of the hardware on the galaxy tab device while its SGX 543MP2 GPU could render graphics twice as fast that of the S2 and almost the same as the iPad 2 falling only a little bit short.
“The GPU power in the 4S should be more than enough to run any well written, current generation title at well north of 30 fps on its display,” reads a report on AnandTech.
A lot of charts, graphs and other analysis are available on the link above for you to compare the power of the iPhone 4S with other phones in the market.
Epic Games is already developing Infinity Blade 2 for the device and it looks absolutely stunning. Take a look at the announcement trailer after the break.
With such massive performance power on a multi-functional device, it is not surprising that the iPhone is considered as a primary threat to handheld consoles out there.
